In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, I made a new hair-bow for Girl Child. She wore it while watching our local parade. We are lucky enough to have the local St. Patrick’s Day parade and 4th of July parade come right down the road in front of our house. I made a basic style bow from a 2 inch ribbon and left the tails a little longer. You can see an instructional video here. This was the first time I worked with such a thick ribbon and it was also rubbery due to the vinyl detail to make the colored chevrons. I used sewing thread to wrap the ribbon center and it broke as I pulled. Now I understand why they suggest using embroidery thread instead!
