The end of the school year is coming up and I wanted to make a card for my son’s 1st grade teacher. She has been so patient with him and made it a very enjoyable year. I came across the school theme set of washi tape at Michael’s a few weeks ago and picked it up in anticipation. It has the cursive letter alphabet tape that I put at the top and the apple tape at the bottom. It also came with a word art roll that said things like “Back to School” so that one wasn’t appropriate for the end of the year. I used a chalkboard paper as the background and wrote on it with a white chalk marker. Then I used a stick of white chalk to add some texture to the chalkboard. I added a strip of kraft paper cardstock and on the strip I added three apple brad pictures that I found online. I put the background on the front of a kraft paper cardstock card. Quick and easy!
