Cardboard tube advent tree

If you have been saving the tubes from your rolls of toilet paper for craft projects, then this is so quick and easy to put together. It takes 24 toilet tubes for the 24 days to countdown to Christmas, some green tissue paper and some brown tissue paper to cover them, and tape to hold it all together.

I followed instructions I found here. I found a glittered green tissue paper in my stash that worked beautifully for the tree.

I used a permanent marker to write the numbers 1-24 over the center of the tubes.

Then I “decorated” the tree with silver glitter glue and some craft gems we had left over from another project.

On December 1st I will hang it up and the kids can push open one tube each day to get a prize or a piece of paper with an activity for that day on it.

I love how easy of a project this is for a full advent worth of fun!
