Last week I reviewed the Lego Juniors Cinderella’s carriage. This week I have Pumpkin’s Royal Carriage. This set comes from the Whisker Haven series that is part of the Disney line. Whisker Haven is a show on Disney Junior that features the pets of the different Disney princesses. Pumpkin is Cinderella’s puppy who loves to dance and go to balls.
The set is designed for children age 5 and up. Whisker Haven the show is designed for the preschool and early childhood groups so it makes sense that these are designed for young builders. The set contains four builds, with the carriage being the largest. That is pretty small too. One figure is included, which is of course, Pumpkin the dog.
The three very small builds are a fountain, a bench, and a tower. Flowers and heart shaped gems adorn these builds, along with a magic wand. The tower can be used interchangeably with the upper level of the Royal Castle set.
Pumpkin also has an invitation envelope. She has a box in her carriage where she can keep that envelope, or whatever small piece she wants.
The carriage has two clean gems to make torches on the front and back, and it is topped by a dog bone. There is a peg for holding Pumpkin in place as the carriage rolls along. It is a true Lego vehicle with separate axel pieces rather than a Juniors style vehicle with a single piece undercarriage.
Here is Pumpkin with her tiara and blue bow. Sorry that the pictures are a little blurry. The details are crisp is real life.
Girl Child was very excited to get this set. She loves Whisker Haven! Because of her interest, she stayed interested though the whole build. She wanted to put real water in the fountain and she liked setting Pumpkin and other pets on the bench. She was not very interested in using the doghouse overall. The greatest amount of play happened with the carriage. Pumpkin rode all through the kingdom inviting friends to parties.
