Pink princess slime

Slime. It’s all the rage. You can even find the giant gallon jugs of glue at the craft stores right now. Although it is a fad at the moment, we have been enjoying slime in our house for a few years. It is so easy to make and only takes a couple of ingredients. There are certainly several different recipes out there for making slime. For this one, I went back with the liquid starch. I find it the easiest to work with and gives the most reliable results.

The ingredients to make a pink, sparkly slime that will please the pickiest princess are simple

  • 1 bottle pink glitter glue
  • 1/2 cup liquid starch
  • 1/2 cup water

Mix together the glue and the water until the are well blended. My 4-year-old was able to help with this part.

Then add the liquid starch and mix well. At first you will be able to mix it with a spoon.

Then it will start to gel and get too thick for the spoon. At this point start working it with your hands. Keep working until it makes a solid, non-sticky consistency slime. I had to take over this part because Girl Child got tired of working it.

Once it is mixed, it should not feel too wet and it should not be sticky. It should be able to stretch when pulled gently and break apart when pulled quickly.

When you put it back together, it will gel into a single blob again.

Store it in an airtight container and it will stay good for weeks to months!
