What a cool set for any shark lover. The set comes with five fossil shark teeth and one museum quality replica of a Megalodon tooth. It also comes with a small book about sharks that lets you figure out which type of shark teeth came in the set. We got a hammerhead tooth, which was great since that is Boy Child’s favorite kind of shark. It is very interesting to see the variety of shapes that shark teeth come in, wide and flat to sharp and pointy. The teeth are protected in a clam-shell style plastic container. You may want to get some little containers to keep the teeth in since this is not a display box.
There are other kits out there that require you to excavate the teeth from a block. You have to go very slowly and carefully so you don’t break the teeth. You can read about the shark tooth dig set here.
